We are seeking an organized and diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in San Francisco, California. In this critical role, you will manage the intake of all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and efficient processing. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, meticulously checking shipments against purchase orders, inspecting for any damages, and accurately entering received items into our inventory management system. A high level of attention to detail is essential to maintain the integrity of our stock. You will utilize technology such as scanners and computer systems to track inventory effectively. We are committed to a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety vests and sturdy footwear. The role involves moderate physical activity, including lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs, and standing for extended periods. Your meticulous work ensures that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy against order documentation.
- Inspect all goods for damage or discrepancies upon arrival.
- Accurately record all received items into the warehouse management system.
- Tag and label inventory according to established procedures.
- Stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Follow all guidelines for safe lifting and material handling.
- Participate in inventory counts and audits as required.
- Collaborate with shipping and inventory teams to ensure seamless logistics flow.
