We are seeking an experienced Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee all kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, kitchen management, and team leadership, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role requires a passion for culinary excellence and the ability to create an inviting dining experience for our guests. We have plenty of room to grow our business and we are very eager to grow. We will start you off at a base salary based on experience, and there will be bonuses percentage wise from the kitchen sales.
*Responsibilities*
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Manage inventory control and ensure proper stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
* Develop and implement menu planning that reflects seasonal offerings and customer preferences.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance to enhance their skills.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
* Monitor food costs and assist in budget management for the culinary department.
* Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and creativity.
* Train new kitchen staff members and teach them the skills they need to succeed.
*Skills*
* Extensive experience in food production, kitchen management, and restaurant operations.
* Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team management and staff development.
* Knowledge of menu planning, inventory management, and food service management.
* Proficient in cooking techniques across various cuisines with fine dining experience preferred.
* Familiarity with dietary department practices and food handling standards.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with both kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
