We are seeking a *Director of Nursing at our HamptonWoods Nursing Center* to oversee staff and provide nurses with support and guidance. The ideal candidate will have experience in general geriatrics, as well as management training. This is an excellent opportunity to play a major role in ensuring the safety, comfort and quality of life for the elderly patients. We are looking for candidates who are compassionate, engaging and dedicated to providing the highest level of nursing care possible.

*DON Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:*
* Possess exceptional knowledge of the state and federal regulations with a proven positive history with state surveys.
* Possess a strong commitment to the field of geriatrics.
* Evaluate on a continuous basis, the physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being of residents.
* Be knowledgeable about the health risks and health care issues associated with aging.
* Provide or coordinate primary nursing care in a variety of settings.
* Manage nursing personnel and resources in accordance with department policies and procedures.
* Use effective communication skills to interact with residents, their families, and other health care professionals.
* Provide leadership to promote unit safety and ensure quality resident care.
* Providing exceptional customer service to residents, their families, and staff.
* Oversight of the nursing floor, CNAs & LPN and Residents
* Oversees and coordinates the clinical operations of the facility implementing shared governance and relationship-based care in all departments as assigned by the Administrator.
* Oversees the safety and infection control programs for the nursing department.
* Provides guidance and leadership in meeting the CMS standards of quality.
* Ensures that the care plans, initial assessments, quarterly assessments, annual assessments, and documents of similar nature are filed in a thorough and timely manner.
* Maintain the highest possible quality measures of the facility to ensure that residents are receiving the highest level of care.
* Provide supervision of CNA's, LPN's, and RN's in a supportive and clear manner.
*Qualifications:*
* Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
* Valid State licensure as an RN.
* Familiar with state & federal regulations.
* Must hold and maintain a current CPR certification.
* Two (2) years of management or supervisory experience in long-term care
* Experience in supervising nursing staff and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible.
* Proficient in the use of personal computer including Microsoft Office.
* Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
* Must have the ability to complete multiple projects.
* Capable of working with minimal supervision.
* Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information.
* Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with residents, families, and other employees at all levels.
