You will be on a team of high caliber hardware test and reliability engineers with the opportunity to learn and grow with SPAN.In This Position, You Will BeAn integral part of the hardware engineering teamResponsible for planning and executing hardware testsResponsible for planning and executing component qualification testsBe a versatile hands on player with the ability to dive into test coordination, rig design and build, test execution, post test characterization and failure analysisWork collaboratively within the hardware engineering organization and interface with other functions as needed within SPANAbout YouRequired QualificationsBachelors in a technical discipline (ME or EE preferred) with 2+ years of test engineering experiencePrior experience working alongside test technicians or contract technicians to build test setups and execute testsIndependent ability to solve engineering problemsKnowledge of electrical and electromechanical systemsAbility to collaborate with the team to present complex topicsStrong written and verbal communication skillsBonus QualificationsMasters degree in ME or EEBasic Python programming skillsPrior experience supervising junior test techniciansExperience with high voltage systems and equipmentLife at SPANHeadquartered in San Francisco’s vibrant SoMa neighborhood, we are an eclectic group of creative thinkers who value open communication, teamwork, and a ‘make it happen’ approach to addressing complex challenges.SPAN embraces diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way.
