We are looking for energetic and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our fulfillment center in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from inventory using scanners or order lists, carefully packing items for shipment, and preparing orders for dispatch. Safety is a core value in our operations; adherence to all safety guidelines, proper use of PPE, and safe lifting techniques are mandatory to maintain a secure working environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, has a strong work ethic, and can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. This position is key to our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders.
- Use RF scanners and other technology to track inventory and order fulfillment.
- Inspect products for damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipping.
- Prepare orders for shipment, organizing them for loading.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and general warehouse area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Contribute to team goals for productivity and accuracy in the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling products.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks involving lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory and logistics flow.
