We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our logistics operations in Columbus, Ohio. This role is fundamental to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and updating inventory records in our system. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining a well-organized warehouse. Safety is a core value in our workplace, and all employees are required to follow strict safety protocols, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE. This position involves regular lifting and movement of stock, requiring a good level of physical stamina. You will be an integral part of our supply chain team, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics. We foster a team-oriented environment focused on accuracy and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Enter inventory adjustments and updates into the inventory management system.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the stockroom.
- Monitor stock levels and report any potential shortages.
- Support the logistics team in daily warehouse operations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize proper PPE for all assigned tasks.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse roles is advantageous.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
