Join our dedicated team in Durham, North Carolina, as an Inventory Clerk! This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for performing regular inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring that our inventory management system is up-to-date. Attention to detail is paramount, as is a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will assist in tracking stock levels, receiving and putting away new inventory, and investigating any variances. Adherence to all safety guidelines and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. While this role focuses on data accuracy, some physical tasks including occasional lifting will be involved. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Receive incoming inventory and verify quantities against purchase orders.
- Put away stock accurately in designated locations.
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory items.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining the warehouse layout for optimal inventory management.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Generate inventory reports as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE policies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
