IntelliSys Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to support the development and integration of Simulator/Stimulator technology for onboard trainers used in Machinery Control Systems (MCS). This position is focused on maintaining and optimizing the development infrastructure centered around Windows systems, with limited Linux usage, supporting toolchains for Java 17, C++, and platforms like Jira, GitLab, Gradle, Groovy, Eclipse, and VMware ESXi. As part of this role, the candidate will lead and contribute to all phases of the software lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance, in compliance with DoD and NAVSEA guidelines. The position requires advanced problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to drive project success. Responsibilities: Develop and refine software requirements based on Naval Combatant Design Specifications (NCDS), Design Practice Criteria (DPC) manuals, DoD/NAVSEA guidance, and marine/commercial specifications Administer and troubleshoot build systems using Gradle and Groovy scripts. Manage and optimize GitLab repositories, runners, CI/CD pipelines, and access controls. Support and maintain developer environments for Java 17 (Eclipse + Gradle) and C++ Provide secondary support for Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL) environments used in development/test workflows Develop sophisticated models and simulations for MCS and plant operations, incorporating hardware, software, and interface interactions Provide lifecycle support following the NSWCPD Systems Engineering Process (SEP) and adhering to CMMI and IEEE standards Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices, including secure coding standards and compliance with DoD cybersecurity guidelines. Experience with: Java development environments (Java 17, Eclipse), C++ build environments, Gradle and Groovy scripting, GitLab CI/CD administration, Jira project/workflow configuration, extensive experience in developing and testing MCS software, including networking, supervisory control systems, and embedded systems, advanced familiarity with software development tools and environments, such as Visual Studio, NetBeans, and database tools (SQL, MySQL), strong Windows Server administration and PowerShell scripting skills, working knowledge of Linux administration and Bash scripting, ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (active clearance preferred) Benefits: 401(k) with company matching Health, Dental, and Vision insurance Paid time off Flexible work schedule
