O'Neal Steel is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our Lafayette, LA facility. The role of the Inside Sales representative is to identify new customer sales opportunities and manage existing business. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Acting as the internal account coordinator for assigned accounts Developing new accounts and implementing plans for growth in existing accounts Utilizing consultative selling and closing skills Providing quotes and following up, order entry into the order fulfillment system to initiate the sales/distribution process Continually providing feedback on sales opportunities to district management and outside sales Ensuring delivery of customer orders on a timely basis, and with the highest possible level of quality and service Coordinating with appropriate departments in the resolution of customer complaints regarding damaged or incorrect material, or delivery problems Providing customers with a personalized level of customer service that reinforces the importance of customer satisfaction Assisting other Inside Sales Representatives in the development and maintenance of their assigned accounts when necessary Education and/or experience: 2+ years of previous sales experience. Steel industry preferred Must possess strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills Aggressive, competitive, and self-motivated attitude Detail oriented Strong interpersonal and communication skills Bachelor's degree preferred and/or the equivalent in training and experience *Upon offer of employment, candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
