*Job Summary*
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. We have openings on all shifts. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. This role involves working closely with patients to assist with daily activities, monitor their health, and ensure their comfort and safety. The Nursing Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting patients with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and other medical conditions.
*Duties*
* Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
* Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
* Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff.
* Assist in the administration of medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
* Support patients with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
* Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and concerns.
* Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times.
* Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance caregiving skills.
*Requirements*
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred; critical care experience is a plus.
* Familiarity with EMR systems such as PCC is advantageous.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) is essential.
* Experience working in long-term care facilities, assisted living environments, or hospitals is highly desirable.
* Skills in phlebotomy and medication administration are beneficial.
* Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
* Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs.
* Experience in geriatrics or pediatrics is a plus; familiarity with hospice care or memory care is also valued.
