We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. The Material Handler will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within the warehouse. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that products are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and on time. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain inventory levels and contribute to the overall success of our supply chain. A strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are essential. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse environment and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading trucks and other vehicles.
- Moving materials from receiving to storage areas using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if certified).
- Organizing and consolidating inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Assisting with inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Reporting any damages or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Supporting other warehouse functions as needed.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Awareness of safety regulations and best practices in a logistics environment.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
