We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team in New York City, New York. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution center. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate is physically fit, able to handle demanding tasks, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will work closely with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Organize and stock incoming materials in designated warehouse areas.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and checks.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or manual labor experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to handle frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Commitment to Safety in all aspects of the job.
