A Material Handler position is now available in our Provo, Utah facility. We are looking for a diligent individual to manage the movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient workflow and ensuring materials are available when and where needed. Responsibilities include receiving, identifying, and transporting materials to designated areas, assisting with inventory counts, and operating material handling equipment. A strong focus on safety, adherence to company procedures, and proper use of PPE are essential. The ideal candidate will possess physical strength, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic logistics environment. Experience with forklifts or other powered industrial trucks is highly desirable. This role involves significant Lifting and requires the ability to work on your feet for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and competently.
- Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Ensure all materials are handled in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift certification preferred).
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of materials up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
