We are seeking motivated Picker/Packers to join our busy distribution center in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders, from picking items off shelves to carefully packing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality are essential for ensuring customer satisfaction in our fast-paced logistics environment. You will work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the smooth flow of goods and maintaining high standards of operational excellence and Safety . This position offers a great entry into the world of supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve products from warehouse locations based on pick lists or scanner data.
- Inspect items for damage and ensure they match order requirements.
- Package products securely and appropriately for shipping, using designated materials.
- Apply shipping labels and any other required documentation.
- Conduct final quality checks to ensure order accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all Safety regulations.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as needed, adhering to proper procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment activities.
- Report any issues, damages, or discrepancies to a supervisor promptly.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to order processing and Logistics .
- Ability to handle tasks requiring regular Lifting and movement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking, packing, or a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet performance targets in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions, including Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following all guidelines.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE , such as safety vests and gloves.
- Understanding of basic warehouse procedures and Logistics .
