We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our busy warehouse in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This role requires precision, reliability, and a strong commitment to workplace Safety . You will operate various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage locations, and assist with order picking and staging. This is a vital position within our logistics operation, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and supporting our overall productivity. Your ability to operate machinery safely and effectively will be paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure operational readiness and Safety .
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and order fulfillment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Follow all procedures for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Lifting and maneuvering loads securely.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including occasional Lifting .
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all Safety protocols.
- Willingness to wear required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
