Job Summary:
Our Los Angeles, California logistics facility is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage our inbound flow of goods. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the initial processing of all incoming inventory, ensuring that our records are accurate and our warehouse is organized. Your duties will include expertly unloading delivery trucks, meticulously verifying product counts and types against shipping manifests and purchase orders, and conducting thorough inspections for any damage. Proper documentation and entry of received items into our inventory system are key aspects of this position. You will work closely with vendors and internal logistics teams to ensure efficient operations. Safety is our top priority, and compliance with all safety regulations, including the consistent wearing of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and verify all incoming shipments accurately.
  • Compare received items against purchase orders, invoices, and packing lists.
  • Inspect all goods for damages and report any issues promptly.
  • Enter receiving data into the inventory management system with precision.
  • Organize and stage received inventory for put-away or distribution.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the receiving dock area.
  • Ensure adherence to all company safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including substantial Lifting and moving of goods.
  • Proficiency in using handheld scanners and data entry software.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
  • Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
