We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. This is a critical position that ensures the smooth operation of our supply chain, from receiving goods to dispatching them. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, requiring focus, organization, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. Your primary duties will involve loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and transporting materials to designated areas. This role demands excellent attention to detail to prevent damage and ensure accurate inventory counts. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position offers a great opportunity to grow within the logistics industry, with potential for advancement for motivated individuals. The ideal candidate will be reliable, possess good communication skills, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Significant Lifting will be required, often in excess of 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
