We are looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our vibrant logistics team in Orlando, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring they are accurate, properly packaged, and dispatched on time. Your duties will include picking and packing orders, verifying shipment details against orders, creating shipping labels, and loading trucks. You'll work closely with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers. Maintaining an organized shipping area and adhering to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE, are paramount. This position requires a strong understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to quality control. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and possesses excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer specifications.
- Verify order details, quantities, and product information before shipping.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation for domestic and international shipments.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup schedules and tracking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping department.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing packages to prevent errors.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking as needed.
- Perform tasks involving regular lifting up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse role.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
