We are looking for a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Chicago, Illinois. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse. You will ensure that inventory is stored safely and efficiently, and that materials are readily available for order fulfillment. This position demands precision, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to safety. You'll be a key part of our logistics team, ensuring the smooth flow of goods. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck to move and stack inventory.
- Accurately pick and put away palletized items.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the system.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and operating procedures.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas for optimal efficiency.
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers when necessary.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck. Minimum 1-2 years of warehouse or forklift operation experience. Ability to perform physical tasks, including some lifting up to 50 lbs. Strong knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must be reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of logistics operations. High school diploma or equivalent.
