We are seeking a motivated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Material Handler, you will be an integral part of our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement and organization of goods. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from designated areas, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel and management to achieve daily operational goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage and accuracy.
- Accurately record inventory movements and update systems.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of warehouse safety regulations. Excellent time management and organizational skills. High school diploma or equivalent.
