Join our team as a Warehouse Worker in Washington, D.C.! We are looking for energetic individuals to contribute to the efficient operations of our distribution center. This role involves a variety of tasks, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. You will play a crucial part in ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and supporting our overall logistics flow. This is a physically demanding role that requires stamina and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Move materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare goods for shipment, including labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and stock checks.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or general labor experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE , such as safety vests and steel-toed boots.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safety -first culture.
