We are seeking a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, and documented correctly. Your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting smooth warehouse operations. This position is integral to our logistics chain, ensuring that products move seamlessly from supplier to our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming trucks and verify contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect goods for damage, discrepancies, or defects, and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for efficient put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (certification may be required).
- Collaborate with internal teams, including purchasing and shipping departments, to resolve discrepancies.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to handling and storage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with inventory management software is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and wearing required PPE at all times.
