Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with transportation and other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
- Generate reports on warehouse productivity and inventory status.
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly.
- Foster a culture of safety and accountability among the warehouse team.
- Expect regular lifting and movement of goods, sometimes exceeding 50 lbs.
- Ensure all team members are consistently using the required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Physical ability to handle tasks involving lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety best practices and the correct use of PPE.
