Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of our inventory levels, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory variances, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management principles, experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), and a keen eye for detail. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring product availability and reducing stockouts. We are committed to a safe working environment and require adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Identify root causes of inventory variances and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and report on aging or obsolete inventory.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Adhere to strict protocols for handling and storing inventory.
  • Participate in inventory-related projects and initiatives.
  • Must be comfortable with frequent lifting, often exceeding 50 lbs, as part of inventory checks and adjustments.
  • Uphold high standards of workplace safety, including the mandatory use of provided PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
