Our growing logistics operation in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is fundamental to our distribution center's success, involving a wide range of tasks from receiving and stocking to picking, packing, and shipping orders. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management and order fulfillment processes. A strong commitment to Safety, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including regular Lifting, are essential for this position. We prioritize a safe working environment and require all associates to adhere to strict Safety guidelines and utilize appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory with accuracy.
- Stock and organize materials within the warehouse using proper storage methods.
- Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently according to specifications.
- Pack orders securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks safely and proficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety protocols and wear the required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse Safety best practices and the use of PPE.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform other physical tasks for extended periods.
