We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the efficient and safe operation of our distribution center. Your primary duties will include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing inventory. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and a willingness to perform physically demanding tasks. You will be a key player in our supply chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments.
- Inspect goods for damage and accuracy against purchase orders.
- Stock inventory accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to established procedures.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided where necessary).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, up to 50 lbs, regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Understanding of basic safety principles in a warehouse setting.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
