Our San Diego, California facility is looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring inventory is stored correctly. A strong commitment to Safety is paramount, and adherence to all company policies, including the proper use of PPE , is mandatory. This physically demanding position requires the ability to perform frequent Lifting of heavy items and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any necessary maintenance.
- Strictly follow all Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE .
- Conduct regular and substantial Lifting of items, often exceeding 50 lbs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate records.
- Support the overall objectives of our Logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification strongly preferred).
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including frequent Lifting and moving of heavy objects.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and regulations.
- Knowledge of Logistics and inventory control systems is beneficial.
- Reliable and committed to fulfilling job duties.
