Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility is seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Your responsibilities will include unloading deliveries, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and entering received items into our inventory management system. A sharp eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label inventory appropriately.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and proper lifting techniques.
- Operate receiving equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting and physical tasks.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a logistics setting.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
