We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. This position involves navigating the warehouse to retrieve items specified on pick lists or through handheld scanning devices. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately select and prepare products for shipment, contributing directly to our operational success. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within the logistics industry. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to maintain optimal workflow and contribute to overall efficiency. A commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies and procedures is paramount. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and reporting any issues immediately. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Verify product counts and descriptions to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed daily picking quotas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads.
- Understand and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
