We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our facility in Washington, D.C. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory. This role is integral to our logistics network, ensuring the efficient flow of goods. Your commitment to safety will be essential, as you will be expected to follow all company procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times. This position involves precise maneuvering of equipment in a potentially confined space, as well as assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks. Some manual lifting may be required when securing loads or performing other warehouse tasks. You must have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. Responsibilities include:
- Safely operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Performing daily inspections of forklift equipment and reporting any defects.
- Maintaining organized storage of inventory within the warehouse.
- Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Adhering to all OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
