We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with carriers to facilitate timely deliveries. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. You will manage shipping documentation, track shipments, and maintain clear communication with internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments according to company procedures.
- Verify shipping information, quantities, and product details for accuracy.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to relevant parties.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage and ensure proper packaging.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations, including proper Lifting and handling procedures.
- Ensure appropriate PPE is used by all staff in the shipping department.
- Assist in maintaining the overall flow of logistics within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficient in using shipping software and basic computer applications. Ability to perform tasks involving Lifting up to 40 lbs. Understanding of shipping procedures and documentation. Commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
