We are looking for a proactive Warehouse Coordinator to manage and oversee our operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this key role, you will be responsible for coordinating warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflows, and supervising a team of warehouse associates. Your duties will include managing inventory, optimizing storage space, coordinating shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining a high standard of Safety and organization. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics principles. You will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain. Adherence to all Safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. The role may involve some moderate Lifting and the ability to oversee tasks involving significant Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to procedures.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy.
- Implement and enforce Safety policies and procedures, ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on warehouse activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or coordination.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
- Understanding of Safety regulations and experience enforcing PPE requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
