We are seeking dedicated and reliable Warehouse Associates to join our dynamic logistics team in Detroit, Michigan. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution center, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment according to company procedures.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring overall warehouse cleanliness and orderliness.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily and weekly performance goals.
- Understand and follow instructions for lifting and moving heavy items safely.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions to stay updated on best practices in logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
