Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Tampa, Florida. This vital role focuses on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to ensure optimal stock levels. Your attention to detail and understanding of warehouse management systems will be critical. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory issues, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and committed to upholding high standards of accuracy and Safety within our logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between system inventory and physical stock.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Identify and report damaged or obsolete stock.
  • Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy metrics.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure correct item placement.
  • Ensure all warehouse activities comply with Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Support the logistics team in achieving inventory accuracy goals.
  • May require occasional Lifting of items up to 30 lbs for counting or relocation purposes.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and logistics best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding of general warehouse Safety procedures.
