We are seeking a diligent and reliable Material Handler to join our bustling logistics facility in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes receiving incoming goods, stocking inventory, picking orders, and preparing shipments for dispatch. Your role is critical to maintaining the flow of products within our supply chain. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, is detail-oriented, and prioritizes Safety in all tasks. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to move materials.
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against manifests.
- Stock received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick materials and products for outgoing orders accurately.
- Pack and stage orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to company standards.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stocktakes.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Must be able to handle tasks involving frequent Lifting of materials, up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to work ethic.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and logistics principles.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring regular Lifting and physical exertion.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
