We are looking for a diligent Picker/Packer to join our fast-paced warehouse team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. This position is crucial for ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and promptly. You will be working with a diverse range of products, requiring attention to detail and efficient movement throughout the warehouse. Physical stamina is essential, as the role involves significant amounts of walking, standing, and Lifting of items. We provide all the necessary PPE to ensure your Safety while performing your duties. A good understanding of inventory management and logistics processes will be beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists or digital pick tickets.
- Inspect picked items for accuracy, damage, and correct quantity.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Operate manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Safety guidelines.
- Participate in inventory counts and stocktaking activities.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including PPE requirements.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Proficiency in using scanning devices and order fulfillment technology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
