We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in San Jose, California. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets and then meticulously packing these items for shipment. This role requires a strong attention to detail to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. You will work closely with inventory management systems, updating records as items are picked and packed. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehouse environment and a commitment to efficient workflow. We offer a fast-paced environment where your contributions are valued. This position is crucial to our overall logistics operations, ensuring products reach our customers in excellent condition and on schedule. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Experience with manual pallet jacks and basic lifting techniques is essential, as some items may require careful handling and transport. Training will be provided on our specific packing methods and warehouse procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and locate products using order lists or scanning equipment.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Securely pack items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Utilize provided PPE, such as gloves and safety glasses.
- Perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and item numbers.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
