We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our growing logistics team in San Jose, California. This position is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport inventory, and assist with order fulfillment. Safety is paramount in this role; adherence to all safety regulations and proper use of equipment and PPE is mandatory. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist in the staging and kitting of orders for shipment.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring clear access routes.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stocktaking activities.
- Support the overall logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ensure the integrity of goods during transit within the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and material handling procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe working environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
