Join our dynamic warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois, as a Warehouse Associate. This comprehensive role offers the opportunity to engage in various aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our logistics hub. Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, accurately picking and packing orders for distribution, managing inventory, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. You will work closely with other team members to meet daily operational goals and uphold our commitment to service excellence. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic are highly valued. This position requires a solid understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment, including the consistent use of appropriate PPE. The role involves regular physical activity, including lifting, to support our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Accurately record inventory movements in the WMS.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management.
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse experience is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS). Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and independently. Strong organizational and time management skills. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and performing physically demanding tasks. Commitment to safety and wearing required PPE is essential for this logistics role.
