Are you a skilled and safety-oriented Forklift Operator? Our San Antonio, Texas facility is looking for experienced individuals to join our busy logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and assist with order fulfillment. Precision and adherence to safety standards are paramount. You will be expected to maintain equipment, conduct routine inspections, and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics, coupled with a commitment to wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. This position involves significant physical work and the ability to lift materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments efficiently.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring clear pathways.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations rigorously.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure proper handling of products to prevent damage or loss.
- Utilize required PPE, including safety shoes, vests, and eye protection.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Support general warehouse tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory flow.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
