Join our bustling warehouse as a Picker/Packer in Indianapolis, Indiana! This critical role involves accurately picking items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. You'll be responsible for ensuring that orders are fulfilled quickly and correctly, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. This position demands speed, accuracy, and a keen eye for detail in a fast-paced logistics environment. You'll work with a dedicated team, utilizing technology and efficient processes to meet daily targets. The ability to handle various products and quantities is key. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage and ensure quality control.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Meet established picking and packing quotas.
Experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial. Must be comfortable with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods. Ability to perform lifting up to 35 lbs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Must be able to work in a team-oriented setting and follow instructions. High school diploma or GED preferred. This role is vital to our distribution process and offers a great opportunity to grow within our company.
