Our Sacramento, California facility is looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through meticulous tracking, regular cycle counts, and detailed analysis. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve inventory management processes. This position is key to our overall logistics efficiency and requires a sharp, analytical mind.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and collaborate with procurement to ensure adequate supply.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory control best practices.
- Manage the process of returns and stock adjustments.
- Utilize various tools and technologies for inventory tracking and management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some lifting up to 50 pounds, and work in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of logistics principles and best practices.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to wearing necessary PPE .
