We are hiring an experienced Reach Truck Operator for our state-of-the-art facility in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory within our high-rise warehouse. This role is critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the timely processing of orders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. You must be comfortable working at heights and in a fast-paced environment. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position involves some lifting and requires the ability to work effectively in a demanding logistics setting. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, load, unload, and stack inventory.
- Retrieve products from high racking for order fulfillment.
- Transport materials to and from designated staging areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of the reach truck to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper placement and scanning.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while operating machinery and in the warehouse.
- Assist with physical inventory counts as needed.
- Optimize storage space utilization within the racking system.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- May involve occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs when accessing products.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence in our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting and standing.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
