Become our new Shipping Clerk in St. Louis, Missouri! In this crucial position, you will be at the forefront of our outbound logistics, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely. Your role is vital in coordinating the dispatch of goods and maintaining excellent customer service through timely and correct deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, documentation, and packing slips accurately.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Inspect outgoing merchandise to ensure it matches order specifications and is properly packaged.
- Operate shipping software and technology systems to process orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- May involve occasional lifting of packages up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar administrative role preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of warehouse safety and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
