We are looking for a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Portland, Oregon! In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of warehouse operations, contributing to the efficient and accurate handling of goods. From receiving and stocking to picking and packing, your efforts are crucial to our overall logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and stock merchandise.
- Pick and pack orders accurately based on customer requirements.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers as needed (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Participate in ongoing training related to logistics, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, which may include occasional lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and meet performance goals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Must be able to perform manual tasks, including frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in efficient logistics and operational excellence.
