Our growing logistics operation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is looking for an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to manage daily warehouse activities. This pivotal role involves overseeing inventory, managing staff, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. You will be instrumental in optimizing warehouse processes, from receiving and storage to order fulfillment and shipping. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position requires excellent communication and organizational abilities, as well as a commitment to fostering a positive and safe work environment. Your responsibilities will include training and supervising warehouse personnel, implementing and enforcing safety procedures, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods. Proficiency in using warehouse equipment and knowledge of inventory control techniques are vital. We emphasize the importance of safety, requiring adherence to all protocols and the appropriate use of PPE. This role often involves significant lifting and requires individuals who are comfortable with physical tasks and maintain good physical condition. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Manage and train warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to company standards.
- Implement and enforce strict safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement measures to maintain accuracy.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics departments to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain the security and organization of the warehouse.
- Generate reports on warehouse activities, productivity, and inventory.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Manage and enforce the use of appropriate PPE for all staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or in a similar supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Experience with WMS software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a team and resolve conflicts.
- Commitment to safety and a track record of maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to handle physical demands including frequent lifting.
