Join our bustling distribution center in Baltimore, Maryland, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for diligent and detail-oriented individuals to become a vital part of our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders from warehouse shelves and carefully packing them for shipment. Your primary focus will be ensuring order accuracy and the safe, efficient dispatch of goods. This position requires physical stamina as you'll be on your feet for most of your shift, navigating the warehouse and performing moderate Lifting. Adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is paramount. We take pride in our commitment to a safe working environment, and you will play a crucial role in maintaining these standards. You'll work closely with other team members to achieve daily picking and packing quotas, contributing directly to our supply chain's success. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order lists.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Carefully pack orders to ensure they are protected during transit.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Meet daily picking and packing productivity goals.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Support the overall logistics flow of the warehouse.
- Perform tasks involving moderate Lifting as part of the picking and packing process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform frequent Lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and PPE.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Understanding of basic logistics concepts is beneficial.
