We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your work will directly impact our logistics operations, ensuring that we have the right products in the right place at the right time. You will conduct regular audits, investigate discrepancies, and implement measures to prevent future stock issues. A strong commitment to Safety and adherence to all warehouse procedures are essential. This position requires a keen analytical mind, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. While not primarily a physical role, there will be occasions involving lifting and moving inventory to perform audits and checks. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for any such tasks. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
- Identify and report damaged or obsolete stock.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Comply with all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Train other staff on inventory procedures as needed.
This role may require occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs for inventory checks. Ensuring Safety and proper handling during these tasks is important. Your accurate inventory management is vital for our logistics.
