We are hiring experienced Picker/Packers for our busy facility in Chicago, Illinois. This role is essential for our e-commerce operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently processed. You will be responsible for locating, picking, and packing a variety of items with speed and precision. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets or scanning devices.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and pack items securely for shipment.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation correctly.
- Stage finished orders for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation and warehouse environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counts.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking and packing or warehouse operations is required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Mandatory adherence to all PPE requirements.
