Seeking an experienced Material Handler for our St. Louis, Missouri facility. This role is vital for the efficient operation of our logistics and distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and timely movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes operating various types of equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Your primary focus will be on ensuring materials are where they need to be, when they need to be, in perfect condition. Attention to detail is crucial for inventory accuracy and minimizing product damage. We are committed to a safe working environment; therefore, adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE is mandatory. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, and navigating a busy warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to production or shipping.
- Stack and organize materials in designated areas, maintaining clear pathways.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent tracking of material movement.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation as needed.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, with forklift certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
